The Logitech K780 is a great wireless keyboard with the unique feature of being able to switch between multiple devices at a single press of a button. If you are heavy typist on more than a single platform, this is really a keyboard you should consider getting.
Our editors hand-pick these products using a variety of criteria: they can be direct competitors targeting the same market segment or can be similar devices in terms of size, performance, or features.
In short, despite some of those minor annoyances, we loved this keyboard. Not only does it allow me to use the same keyboard with my iPhone, Surface Pro and miscellaneous tablets but also a great replacement for legacy devices connected using a KVM cable.
It’s not cheap for a wireless keyboard, but you’re paying for flexibility. If you can do without the number pad and the “gutter” stand, mind, $40 gets you the K380: effectively the same thing, only smaller and with no way to prop up your phone and tablet.

Overall, I’m pleased with this keyboard. It can connect to three devices via Bluetooth. It has a really nice design and texture to the touch. It doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy, and weighs a little more than the standard keyboard. It’s study & substantial.
This is hands down a great gift for someone who is actively on the go or the everyday person like myself.
All the K780's quirkiness and cleverness will set you back roughly R1 400. It's a fairly sizeable outlay for a wireless keyboard, but strip away all the added features and the K780 is still a great device at its core. The typing experience is great and the added fact that keystrokes are silent will be a welcome aspect for many. Furthermore, it sports 24-month battery life courtesy of two AAA batteries (included), with an auto-sleep function thrown into the mix too. For those that own and regularly wield multiple devices at once when working, the K780 is well worth the consideration.
After three weeks of using the Logitech K780 keyboard all day, every day, it's hard to miss or want anything else. The overall typing experience is fast, fluid, and impressively functional across a trio of connected devices. It features most all the keys/commands one would expect for a full-size keyboard, regardless of operating system. The unit as a whole feels solidly-constructed, and the built-in device cradle is actually more convenient than one would think from just reading about it. Use it for a few hours, and you may find yourself permanently shelving all other tablet/smartphone docks or stands.
The K780 is comfortable to type on and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this keyboard. But I’d perhaps add here that those who are looking for a lightweight, portable keyboard may wish to look elsewhere — at 875 grams (almost 2 pounds), it’s not exactly feather-light. For a device that’s so slender, its weight actually surprised me a little. On the positive side, that gives it a solid feel and makes me confident it won’t break any time soon.
I really don’t have any complaints about the Logitech K780 Multi-Device keyboard. It’s priced right, works well, has a convenient tray wide enough to hold a few devices and lets me switch quickly between them with the press of a button. If you use multiple devices, you’ll enjoy using this keyboard.
But let’s be honest: While the K780 works as serviceable substitute for your computer’s native keyboard, its real purpose is to free you from the tyranny of thumb-typing on your mobile device’s touch screens. And at that, it excels. With my iPad or Android phone nestled in the rubber cradle and my fingers flying across the keys, typing documents or text messages was as comfortable as if I were working on my laptop.
As its name clearly states, Logitech's K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard promises to be the one keyboard to rule all your computing gizmos. Indeed, it's fully compatible with Windows, Mac OS, Chrome OS, Android, and iOS—and more importantly, it...
If you want to manage multiple devices and have an excellent keyboard for your computer at the same time – the Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard is the product for you.
