As far as fulfilling the role of "travel mouse" this is pretty much exactly what you most likely want. It's light and compact, so it can live in a bag with no problems and won't get you into trouble at an airport check-in desk. It's also incredibly responsive on basically any surface and has a strong DPI range so you can use it to its fullest extent even if you have minimal space available.
