From the minimal onboard LEDs, Intel controllers for both LAN and WiFi, USB 3.1 Type-C and Type-A, dual M.2 ports, a huge compliment of SATA ports and fan headers, decent audio, highly capable power design, and the included HB Bridge for GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 SLI users, the ASRock X370 Taichi is the first product I have ever given a perfect score, and if you get one, I am sure you will quickly understand why I like this board so much. Need I mention it has it all and only costs $200?

In conclusion, this motherboard is an excellent full-featured, overclocking motherboard that has all of the basic essentials that a hardcore gamer or entry-level enthusiast could ask for. If you are craving high-end performance without sacrificing warranty or stability, then the ASRock X370 Taichi is the motherboard you are looking for. Not only do I recommend this motherboard, I HIGHLY recommend this motherboard!

At around £230, ASRock’s X370 Taichi offers strong value for money. Gigabyte’s slightly-cheaper Aorus AX370-Gaming 5 is a noteworthy competitor, as is ASUS’ slight more expensive Crosshair VI Hero. However, ASRock’s X370 Taichi is a different approach to the high-end X370 motherboard that offers enough of its own unique features to appeal to a power user target market. Users who simply want the strongest CPU power delivery solution on the AM4 platform may also be tempted by the X370 Taichi.

Overall, the ASRock X370 Taichi seems like a fantastic option for a no-nonsense Ryzen build. It might not be flashy, but all the fundamentals are there, there's a ton of connectivity, it overclocks like a champ, and it's clearly built to handle that overclock over the long haul.

The ASRock X370 Taichi was a surprise. I didn't expect it to be loaded with so much. It does trade some USB assets for extra SATA, and its second M.2 slot does not offer the same performance as the first one. The motherboard's VRM was the most impressive part of the product; it's the best one I have seen yet because of its high-quality output filter and phase count (although it's overkill).
