Pricing is good not cheap, but if you place it into perspective with the endurance, lifespan and steady performance, it leaves only one thing left .. a much desired SSD. But sure we also acknowledge that with an expected street price of 799 EURO an SSD, no-matter how good, is just out of reach for many pricing wise.

Where do we start? This is the best client SSD we've seen in 2015. The 850 EVO 2TB even causes us to second-guess the new NVMe products that can't hold the same amount of data. Users will have to choose performance or capacity, but in many cases high performance with a lot of capacity is good enough.

By introducing the Samsung 2TB versions of the 850 Pro and EVO, Samsung has set a new bar in SSD pricing, while at the same time, held the performance seen in their lower capacity 850 Pro SSD.

Since the 850 Pro and EVO are the first 2TB client SSDs on the market so they face no competition. They receive a strong recommendation from us for those who need/want a 2TB SSD. Both have excellent performance like the 1TB models we had already tested and the increased power efficiency is a welcome addition for mobile users. Out of the two the EVO is better value for the vast majority, but the 2TB Pro is there for those who want the added endurance and the most impressive SATA SSD in the market.
