The Gigabyte M27Q is a very capable and speedy gaming monitor with few flaws. Though it has a huge color gamut, red is a little under-saturated, and it doesn’t offer extra contrast in HDR mode. But you do get superb gaming performance with 170 Hz and super-low input lag. As a value choice, it’s hard to beat.
While the KVM switch may not appeal to many, it certainly is an interesting feature that I want to see in more models. At this price range, the monitor is very competitive, offering some great gaming features and a highly capable panel that’s going to tick the right boxes for work and productivity, as much as it does for competitive gaming!

Overall we consider this to be a capable monitor for PC gaming and general desktop use, with very competitive pricing. Whilst there are some minor points you could moan about, such as the subpixels or basic stand design, the overall price to performance ratio is excellent. And in many respects it’s a more compelling option than its competitors.
The Gigabyte M27Q is excellent for gaming. It has exceptional response time, low input lag, and a high refresh rate to deliver incredibly smooth and responsive gameplay. Its large, high-resolution screen feels immersive, and it has wide viewing angles so that you can share content easily. Unfortunately, it has poor ergonomics, which makes it harder to place the screen the way you want. Also, it isn't well-suited for dark rooms because it has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks appear gray.
Gigabyte M27Q is a great monitor for both gaming, as well as content consumption. The only caveat I felt with this monitor is the lack of built-in speakers at this price point. Otherwise, it is a great deal. If you are in the market looking for a good 27-inch monitor with a high refresh rate 1440p panel, you cannot go wrong with the Gigabyte M27Q.
The Gigabyte M27Q is a well-rounded gaming monitor with a great IPS panel that goes up to 170Hz with decent color performance and responsiveness. It needs a bit of tweaking in our opinion, but we know some gamers will appreciate the oversaturation in some instances. The added features such as its KVM controller and FreeSync/G-Sync compatibility will help it appeal to gamers who are rapidly becoming more sophisticated in choosing their gear.
