It's plenty capable for any workload you fire off at it. The XT is a compelling option for consumers searching for a top-of-the-line Gen4 M.2 SSD at a somewhat competitive price. The XT was at or near the top of the charts in terms of performance.
For their latest flagship drive, Corsair has teamed up the controller of choice for the current batch of Gen 4 drives, Phison’s PS5018-E18, with Micron’s latest and fastest 3D TLC NAND to date, the 176-layer B47R. That pairing results in a very quick drive.
We love Corsair's MSRP for the MP600 Pro XT Series, as it is considerably lower than other similarly configured SSDs we've seen so far. Corsair is doing it right from every angle with the MP600 Pro XT and has earned our highest award for their efforts.
So setting that aside, at current pricing this looks to be a great combination. Corsair desperately needs to fix their software, but to be fair, most people won’t use that anyway. We feel pretty good about recommending the MP600 Pro XT for enthusiasts that want to get the most out of their storage.
